Fire can be such a wondrous thing Fire that cooks, that warms and destroys It has a mesmerizing effect On us adults, little girls and boys Watch the fire as it licks at wood Providing us with needed heat Watch as it cooks food on your stove Killing the germs that dwell in meat Fire can even create new life As was told in the days of old It carried the Holy Spirit Right into the core of your soul Bringing hope of eternal life To our world that has gone astray A bright chance for our salvation When to our Lord Jesus we pray Yet, beware of the evil flame The harm it does can be so dire It causes suffering and pain In the deepest pits of Hell's fire Avoid the fire that destroys Your only chance for Paradise Live a life that follows His steps Use your common sense and be wise Friends, fire is a wonderful thing When treated with care and respect It offers us eternal life If God's words we'll only select

I remember as we sat around the fire at the age of 10 in Ohio and we sang:
Kum Ba Yah

Kum ba yah, my lord, Kum ba yah!
Kum ba yah, my lord, Kum ba yah!
Kum ba yah, my lord, Kum ba yah.
O Lord, Kum ba yah
Someone's crying, Lord, Kum ba yah!
Someone's crying, Lord, Kum ba yah!
Someone's crying, Lord, Kum ba yah!
O Lord, Kum ba yah
Someone's singing, Lord, Kum ba yah!
Someone's singing, Lord, Kum ba yah!
Someone's singing, Lord, Kum ba yah!
O Lord, Kum ba yah
Someone's praying, Lord, Kum ba yah!
Someone's praying, Lord, Kum ba yah!
Someone's praying, Lord, Kum ba yah!
O Lord, Kum ba yah

This means "Come by Here" ..This fire can be treacherous, but thank God through Christ, he intercedes for those who ask him into his heart. Praise God for the Holy Spirit's fire within us, that supercedes all things through him!
