The Old Man came to me tonight Said he had a message to share One he asked me to pass along At this special time of the year He said, "The angels are singing Of the birth we still celebrate When our Lord came to live on earth Though we don't know the exact date "Always look upward to Heaven Call on the Lord to free your soul Turn your worries over to Him The gift He gave never grows old "Peace with Him in Heaven above That great gift of eternal life An end to pain and suffering An end to all our fear and strife "May Christmas bring you peace and joy Celebrate His coming to earth Trust in Him and share His blessings Born to die at the moment of birth" Then like a ghost the Old Man was gone But the message was very clear A Merry Christmas wish to all And of course a blessed New Year The greatest gift ever given The greatest sacrifice ever made It shows just how much He loves us With His life all our debts were paid
