It's the little things I forget
The simple things God's given me
The cloudless sky and the bright sun
The waves pounding onto the beach

The sweet sound of the birds outside
Singing in perfect harmony
Butterflies flying lazily
The cool feel of the ocean breeze

The chimes on the porch ringing out
Many a tune that are unique
The many friends who just stop by
Simply to sit and chat with me

Clothing, food and a place to sleep
Those are the little thing I need
The peace that comes from knowing God
Is with me and will never leave

Knowing that the kids are all safe
Of that I don't need to worry
Healed! Delivered! It's just a glimpse
Of the path that leads to Glory

All of my prayers will be answered
By God in His own way and time
He's never held anything back
All of His love makes me feel fine

Just a word of encouragement
A call made by God Almighty
Angels to help family afar
Things taken then returned to me

God loves to bless and lift me up
Cheer me on in my times of need
Yes, I love all the little things
That is why in His words I heed
