After a long and painful illness, my wife's youngest sister, went to Heaven early on Christmas morning. It's been tough going for us ever since. At least we know she's in a much better place and out of pain.
Her sister was holding her gently When peacefully she passed away
And although she loved her so much
She just couldn't ask her to stay
Her wonderful heart stopped beating Her sister laid her down to rest By taking her home God's proven
He always takes the very best
A special Angel's in Heaven
Left us early on Christmas Day
But she left us great memories
Given to us in her special way
She left behind so many friends
Too many for me to speak of
By far the greatest thing she left
Was her unconditional love
A daughter, a sister, a friend
A lady that so many loved
Taken away from us too soon
To get her greatest award above
For all who knew and loved Paulette
Her memory will keep us strong
Knowing that we'll see her again
As on our trails we move along
