God made it so plain and simple
So that we could all understand
"Believe that Christ is your Savior
And always love your fellow man"

He sent His Son to take away
All the sins that we've committed
In the court of Almighty God
We'll find that we've been acquitted

So, why does a man judge a man
Interpreting what God had said
It's been told to us many times
Why can't we get it through our heads?

Christ said, "Come as you are to me
I will never turn you away
Tho' mortal man may reject you
By my side you may always stay"

So, don't count on the ways of men
For they may sometimes steer us wrong
Our only hope is with Jesus
With His help we're sure to stand strong

We will not find eternal peace
In man's constitution or creed
Let's put our faith in our Savior
For our salvation He did plead

We won't need another excuse
There's no need for another plea
It's sad enough that Jesus died
That He died for you and for me

It's good to know that Jesus saves
He'll put an end to fear and doubt
Though sinfully we come to Him
Our Lord will never cast us out
