Morning starts at 4 a.m.
Stumbling, mumbling to the sink
Brush the teeth, rinse the face
Maybe time to sit and think
Coffee and the PC calling
Down the stairs almost falling
A cup of jo, say hello to friends too few
Then to task, to write at last
Inspirations from the night just past
Come 6 a.m. a morning call
Hello wife, did you sleep at all?
Exchange “Miss You’s” and “Love You’s” too
Discuss the day ahead
Then back to work so much to do
At least till 7 maybe just one more brew
Exercise, shower, shave
Off to work, start the day
Explore, discover, create and more
Too often meetings and Admin chores
Work through lunch till 6 p.m.
Then back to home I go again
TV news, a glass of wine
TV dinners, what a find
A final call to say good night
So goes my day, turn out the light.
Insightful read....made me smile and then made me sighhhhh....life can be hard....and it can be fun specially reading this one befor I knock out for the night!!
