Reading is my passion
It consumes my very soul
Getting lost in fantasies
To kneel in the Elf king’s hall
To sail upon a merchant ship
Through murky Indian waters
The sharp smell of Indian spices
Pervades my world for hours
To run below the opera house
With the Phantom and Christine
To stand on Juliet’s balcony
And hear the Mock’ bird sing
To touch the crumbling cheek
Of the once majestic Sphinx
To climb among the pyramids
Rest beside the desert lynx
To eat the poisoned apple
Given to Snow White
To hike the Hundred Acre Wood
Sleep through an Arabian Night
The world is at my fingertips
I just have to crack the binding
Brush away the dirt and dust
And continue with the mining
