to know you
is to Love You.

since you've come into My Life
you've been My Friend.
and i have Loved You.

i have Loved You as My Friend.
and i will Love You as such until My End.
and, though i would Love You as a Lover,
that has not yet Been.
nor may It ever Be.
but in This Life,
in My Life,
to Know You as My Friend,
to Love You as My Friend,
this has given birth to a
Love Within me
that is far stronger than Any Love
i've Ever Known.

stronger than for any lover.
even stronger than for The Other.
and i had thought that That could never Be.

and so it is, i simply say,
"Thank You" for coming My Way.
"Thank You" for being My Friend.
"Thank You" for helping me Know Love again.

Be It Friend or Be It Lover,
either Way, I Love You.

For Pam- a friend indeed when this friends in need.
you read me like a book- from cover to cover. you never let me slide nor hide. when i'm goin' in the wrong direction, you gently try to set me straight.
that's why i love you. you're pretty good lookin', too.
