A Memory

a Memory came back today. i thought for sure It'd gone away. i knew what It had to say. i didn't want to listen. knew i'd pay. "thought You were dead". "what brings You back my way?". "gonna' say what's already been said?". "why don't Ya' just go away?". "just thought I'd hang around awhile", It said with a smile. "let ya' remember the Past". "make sure my memory lasts". and so It stayed. and yes i payed for the mistakes i made. for my past. some Memories just seem to last and last. They don't go away. least not today.

It is true that not all memories are good ones and even those come rushing back at times..nice writing Steve..I like your style

i know what ya mean...but you know, i found that by recalling those memories, and facing them head on..they lose their sting, when weighed against the good things of Now!..
