interesting place between a hard spot & a rock. kinda' like fallen 'tween the boat & the dock. makes a man stand back and take a little stock. can't retreat. can't pursue. what's a poor fellar' to do? can't slip ta' the back 'fraid i ain't that agile. can't slide ta' the side guess my hearts to fragile. can't re-trace. can't un-do. just have to face. what else can a poor fellar do? interesting place 'tween a hard spot & a rock. makes a man stand back 'n take a little stock.

Frustrations well-displayed.

I think the last line of the 3rd stanza should read:

"guess my heart's too fragile".
