(some of you know some of you don't... i live with my father who is 85 yrs. old and is dieing of chf. my mom passed away last year from parkinsons. they were married for 65 yrs. and have lived in this house since 1946. holidays are extremely hard times that bring back memories but also reminders of what has ended. thus this poem)

Make the best of the last few pages of your Dad's life, and make Christmas wonderful for him. Invite people you both know, who are also alone, for the occasion. Make nice dinners for everyone, package nice little gifts that are meaningful. People in that age don't need expensive gifts, but the gifts that are meaningful that can remind them of something will mean a lot to them.
