tryin' ta' find
some rhytmn
in what Life's given.
in a poet's time
tryin' ta find
a poet's mind

written 'bout love lost
& love found.
payin' the cost
with a poet's sound.

goin'
round & round
findin' Love ain't so kind.

still drinkin'
the poet's wine
still thinkin'
with a poet's mind
still seekin'
what i can not find
there,
somewhere,
in a poet's wine
