i sit in my room,
alone and lonely.
i feel it's gloom.
i feel it's doom.
if only
i had something to do
what? i haven't a clue.
somewhere to go?
where? i do not know.
someone to see.
someone to be
here with me.
then, i wouldn't be
Alone.

i pace the floor.
i open the door.
but i know
there's no place to go.
i look out the window.
i see thru the glass.
i wait for this lonliness to pass.
i stare at the ceiling.
i get a strange feeling.
i stare at the wall.
i'm about to fall.

i sit in my chair.
i sit and just stare
out there... somewhere.
i see the things that my Life has sought.
i see the things that my Life has bought.
i see the thing that my Life has wrought.

i stand and i walk.
around and around.
i hear the sound
as to MySelf i talk.

"How can this Be?"
"Is this all i See?"
"Is this really Me?"
i feel cold as stone.
Alone.

like a reflection.
a resurrection.
my mind races back.
it follows a track.
to a time and a place.
to a rhyme and a space.
where i used to Be.
back thru my memory.
to Who "I" once was.
and i see
The Cause
of my fear,
of my being Here.
bare to the bone...
Alone.

as moments pass bye
i begin to cry.
i wonder why(?)
do i have to die?
is it all just a lie?

after a while
i begin to smile.
i begin to grin
and begin again.
it's not The End.
i begin to See
the Real Me.

oh the Wind has blown.
a new Day
has come my way.
and i'm still
and still
Alone.
