( i saw my former wife today and i have to say our relationship is not really anything like this poem. we have remained close friends thru the years. we talk often and she has always been supportive. afterall after 18 years of marriage ans 3 children we still have much that binds us together. still as a drove away the beginnings of this write came to my head and to my heart...)

with eyes
that only stare
distant
as if she were not there
i sill see the "Good-byes"

with a smile
of indifference
lukewarm
while all the while
i know there is a difference

with a touch
just a slight brush
cold
a slight blush
doesn't mean much


with a kiss
hard as stone
unfeeling
i feel so all alone
i remember what i miss

with another in her arms
her love i cannot
receive
it is he who knows her charms
and, i remember what i forgot
