nuthin' quite so sad
as the last tail light
fadin' into the night.
the last tail light
on a leavin' train.

and as it fades away
ain't nuthin' ta' say
that hadn't need said
'bout a love that's gone.
a love that's dead.

the words that go unspoken
are but a token
of the heart's that were broken.
fadin' into the night.
the last tail light
of a leavin' train.
