this afternoon
i was sittin' in my easy chair
she has gone to do
what she needed to do

i looked out my front door
and i saw it
shit

i have a small little porch
kinda' recessed from the door
there in the door frame
she had carved a heart
i don't known when
guess she was just sittin' there on the steps

i hadn't seen it

a hand carved heart

with sp + ts
within

damn
what am i going to do
with a woman
as romantic as me

since
i haven't tryed to rhyme
yet
i think it's time
i forget
and just let it be
