the question was asked,
nay,
a statement was made,
why don't we poet's
step up to the task?
into the world's problems
we need to wade.
why must our
word's & phrases
all be about love,
Life's gray hazes,
and Heaven Above?
well, i for one
have sung that Song.
now i have none,
no words you see,
to fight Life's Wrong.
i just strive to Be Me.
so, if about Love
i choose to write,
or about Heaven & God up Above,
it's not i don't Care,
i'm just too tired to Fight.
i've marched in the streets.
i've marched to a different Beat.
believe me son,
30 years ago i took the Heat.
i Hollered.
I Screamed.
named my daughter "MoonBeam".
i smoked & i toked,
about Utopia i Wrote.
but Life went on,
without me it seems.
'fore long my Life was nearly Done.
and all my children
live with "MoonBeams".
the World is as it Is.
the World is as it Was.
it's not that i don't Care,
it's just Cause
sometimes
Life ain't Fair.
so Write what you want.
Say what you say.
leave me in Peace
to Live Life My Way.
(this is not meant as a challenge nor as a rebuke, nor is it very good poetry for that matter...simply a reflection on why i write what i write.

We poets always write how we feel, regardless of what the topics are. Some write very great political poetry, and some write very great love poetry. It depends on the authors.
really enjoyed this one Steve. it is so true that we must write about where we are in our lives.

I absolutely love this poem, Steve. It speaks volumes to and with my heart. In the end, all that's eternal is love, so why not just write about what is worth writing about anyway!
Explains the realizations that have given the author the views of living life fully. The life each person dreams about.
You must take a look at yourself before dreams can be reached.
Deciding what is the core of belief.
This combined narrative dialogue and play is about the uncreated, unborn and undying transcendent Self of God-consciousness and Buddha-nature. It describes an odyssey of transcendent Consciousness Awakening and Remembrance.
