some seem ta' think
i'm a pretty good poet
'least most don't say i stink
i don't know it
i don't always show it
God knows, i often blow it
but, it's that time of year
when we're supposed ta' remember
those to us who are dear
a time for candy & hearts
and all them lovin' parts
and i been sittin' tryin'
ta' write some poetry
sumpin' ta' ryhme
with "Be My Valentine"
try as i might
try as i may
i can't figger out the words ta' say
how do ya' ryhme
" I Love You"
with "Heartbreak"?
or
"Your My Darlin'"
with "Heartache"
and
"For Forever"
doesn't seem ta' fit with
"Never"
where's the poetry
in Reality?
where's the ryhme
in
"Be My Valentine"
and
Good-bye""?
depressing, Steve. One of my favorite authors here writes romance - which is why I rarely read her, lol. Some holiday topics are best ignored, imo. Why should we tear ourselves apart? I think I'll write a nice love story about my DOG. (-:
