we never were 2 of a kind we never could find a like mind
seems like our love was always unkind we never could find a way ta' be 2 of a kind never a pair we never got there never were where there wasn't a tear in our threads different thoughts in our heads oh, we were a couple & we coupled quite well but time could tell we never were 2 of a kind now we're 2 for the road each carryin' our own load you're goin' your way i'm goin' mine we never could find a way ta' be 2 of a kind
