with the Yellow Texas Rose.
there by a tall Texas palm,
under a swaying Texas mesquite,
it's neat,
even under a lonely old Texas oak,
us Texas folk
knows
where ever we goes
we'll find the Yellow Texas Rose.
down along the Gulf Coast Plains,
out in the barren West Texas range,
in the East Texas pines,
even there you'll find
the Yellow Texas Rose.
thru the rolling Texas hills
among the fields of bluebonnets,
like a bright yellow sonnet,
it still grows,
it still glows,
the Yellow Texas Rose.
and if you're from Texas,
maybe even if you're not,
you'll know what
the Yellow Texas Rose means..
that is, if ya' ain't too lean.
It means our Hearts.
It means our wholes.
It means our tall Texas souls.
and when i cast my eyes
across the tall Texas skys,
i always knows
whys
i love the Yellow Texas Rose...
it reminds me of you
and a love that was true .

can hardly wait til my roses bloom. the yellow is one of my favorites, it reminds me of friends i miss spending time with.
