angels & devils
both good fellows
best i can see
both
just tryin' ta' be
who they are
a risen' or a fallin star
one has wings
that one want's ta' sing
not that it means
anythings
havin'
angel wings
if you can't sing
if ya' ain't got a song
where do you belong
one's sold his soul
but he just grows old
he just lives in hell
guess ya' never can tell
if he has a song
let him sing
be it right or wrong
both think they're right
maybe the other ones wrong
but can you write
a poem or a song
where do you belong
angel's & devils
both fine fellows
guess it all levels
out in the end
but can ya send
a tune
can ya howl at the moon
can ya dance to a tune
the answer to that
is blowin in the wind
angels love ta' see
the sunrise
ain't no surprise
think they be wise
but us old devils
we wait for the sun to go down
that's when we hear the sound
the one that tell's
we hate hell
but ya' never can tell
oh well
'bout what's right
'bout what's wrong
angels or devils
still gotta sing their song
ain't nuthin' wrong with that
it's lean & it's fat
angels & devils
it all levels
it bevels
at the end of time
it's the rhyme
comes out in the end
it's the rhythmn
from begin ta' end
only GOD knows
but HE don't shows
the angles
to the devils or the angels
HE just wrangles
with out brains
makes us insane
or crazy
or lazy
or wise
otherwise
what would be the game
we'd all
be the same
what's right?
what's wrong?
guess that one's
GOD's song

thanks for sharing this... you are always a delight...
I like the first stanza and also this one:
"gee but us old devils
we wait for the sun to go down
that's when we hear the sound
the one that tell's
we hate hell
but ya' never can tell
oh well
'bout what's right
'bout what's wrong
