Shadow of a tear
I stroll through the forest and feel as though I am watched.
All of my living experiences sometimes I feel have been lost.
This thing that sees me and knows I am here,
is slowly dripping from the branches of the trees,
and as I focus upon its image I am not surprised to witness the glistening of a tear.
I sometimes walk in the park amongst the homeless benches and flower laden trenches.
A strange shudder shakes my bones as if I was not alone.
Then I know I am being stalked adjacent to where I stand,
I see the shadow of a tear peeking around a soldier’s statues hand.
Wherever I go, what ever I do, a tear from the past keeps me subdued.
It may be sad but it is true , the tears born from that which you grieve will forever follow you.
Namaste,
Christine
