Take me with you
Strangely, I found a small piece of my heart,
that I had lost a long time ago.
I cradled the precious thing in the secure warmth of my hand,
It was cold, so very cold, its sharp edged shaped scarlet red.
My candles have wicks of black, drenched in a frozen waxy bed.
Unlit torches covered in soot, for so long the fire has been dead.
I looked up at the sky in the moment,
I was in awe at the magnificent cloudy movements.
Patterns like fluffy sheep’s wool,
floating as if a magnet was pulling them,
to a place that no one knows.
"Oh!," I cried. "Take me with you !" I plead. "Please don’t leave me here."
They moved in a sort of rapture,
their different shapes painted so many emotional pictures.
They were only dropping by,
delivering to us the beauty of you……………. and I.
Be always safe,
Karen
