I looked intensely with compassion at a starving child,
I offered her all the food that I had,
even though weeping there behind her were millions more.
A sorrowful woman asked for guidance in that her life had been
wasted because of her selfish ideals.
I smiled at her and told her that I loved her,
then I showed her the beauty of a living tree.
A man came to me distraught and unruly.
He was voicetress and unreasonable.
Although I loved him too,
expressionless, I turned and walked away.
A further collection of poems, many from years in the Middle East, but also the California San Francisco and Central Coast areas (Santa Cruz, Carmel, Big Sur, Berkeley, etc.).
