The Life of Two
A man journeyed through an infinite darkness. His vision limited to his mind’s description of what it thought surrounded it. His body cold from the absence of living things, only a vague concept of life’s progression leading him from his present place.
And a small flame appeared before him. The fragile flickering of its light warmed his hands as he spread them around its essence, protecting that which it clung to, for its own sake and now his own.
And then he realized that even from that tiny light, he was filled with warmth and he felt strong again. And from its light he saw how his mind had imagined things to be, and then was able to proclaim the difference between his imagination, and the living experience of what was before him.
He then knew that his hands shall never be moved from their place which surrounds this flame.
And the flame gently held within his hands, would then never lose its light.
