A place I must be

Oasis

A merchant in Kazdar worked many hours keeping his economic livelihood in balance, and from the overbearing challenges he constantly faced his life became very stressful.

On the eastern outskirts of the city was a beautiful park that he would pass daily going to and from his shop. One day the pressures of business were greater than usual and on his way home he stopped at the park to sit and unwind. He sat under a large flowering tree with a canopy that cast a shadow over the a patch of purple Iris and green clover, It stretched onto the bank of a small stream shading a sloping regiment of dandelions’ seemingly standing at attention, dreaming of being set free of their binding roots and following down the bank into the current, casting off in a liberating flotilla of yellow caps like little suns randomly dancing in the heavens.

After sitting for a time, the man realized that while he was there his mind had become relaxed as each wonderful thing he saw ignited in his imagination ideas and parallels to his life, breeding fascinating outlooks and insightful concepts.

The man then concluded that this park was a beautiful oasis amongst the challenges of the bustling city, just as his meditative thoughts were a beautiful oasis amongst his stressful mind.

I always thought that some time, even a few minutes, spent meditating in a natural setting, can change one's perspective lastingly. Thank you.

Visions of A Skylark Dressed in Black by Aberjhani

“The woman or man who is a poet, or fiction writer, or playwright, or all of these, is engaged constantly in a jazz ballet of vocabularies, passions, genders, histories, perspectives, death, love, and life. The music of revelation announces itself to
