Rain drops tap tapping and looking in at me,
slowly streaking down the cheeks of my window.
So personal they seem.
Why do they cry to me?
Why do they grieve so?
...
What pain could they fail to endure?
What sorrow could behoove them?
What drives them to persist?
I walked closer to them and tried to touch their compassion,
only to erase the foggy mist obstructing the transparency of the glass.
And peering through each little droplet bent the most beautiful tiny rainbow,
and it made me feel alive with joy .
with a soft smile I thanked them all for reaching out to me.
and it made me feel alive with joy ."
Those are brilliant lines. I love watching the rain, and was impressed with how you translated their meaning in such a moving way.
