One week ago I joined the den,
Gotta tell ya, it was a bit scarey.
My friend Paul gave me a push,
Holly took me under her wing,
Rose sent me a freshly baked pie,
Kathy Armijo's reviews are better than my poems,
A morning cup of coffee and trip to the den is a special time of mine.
My dog Angel can't figure out why I am crying one minute and laughing the next.
It is a place for the imagination, at times I'd like to read between the lines.
What I do know for sure, is the energy I feel of the love and friendships you share.
Just want to tell you , Thanks for putting out the Welcome Mat
I know I will enjoy my stay.

I agree with you that the Den has an inviting welcome mat. I've tried other sites and none are as user friendly as this one. Although I get busy on other projects and take lapses from it now and again, I always come back. It is a place where you are respected and appreciated by other writers. Welcome.

Christine - you say the kindest things. You are one incredibly talented woman...keep those great poems coming. I'm glad that your time here at the Den has been wonderful...and, I agree wholeheartedly!
I'm sure you speak for us all, Christine. We share much and everything here in this place... our joys and fears, sorrows and shames. It IS quite incredible that the relational side of writing should be so pronounced here. I have no experience of any other websites, but people tell me the atmosphere here is quite unique. Like you, I'm so glad I found it... introduced, like you, by a fellow author here. It, without sounding too sappy, I hope, quite literally, has been part of the happiest four years of my life so far... Bless you and thank you for articulating so much of what we all know to be true. It is a pleasure to have you with us. Each time a newbie adds something we all learn a little bit about them and more importantly, we all learn a little bit more about a bigger picture.
