Riding the Waves

We jumped into the boat feet first,
No oars, just wind to guide,
We rode the mighty rocky waves,
Weathering storms, we cried.

The peacful times, after thunder,
Dreams shared under rainbows,
Our two worlds, became just one,
Joining mates of our souls.

Great white caps greeted us fiercely,
Swamping our hearts to swim,
Your compass read East, mine was West,
Lost,  To be Found by HIM.

This reminds me of sailing--the way you are captive of the waves and winds--yet trusting of something greater than yourself to see you through. This is lovely, thanks for sharing it.

A wonderful blessing within this work. Time and Destiny are centered around a togetherness with share with our love and the love of Him that send a man and woman to each other no matter the miles less traveled.

Two together in Him, always a wonderful start, especially when the boat starts swaying with the rush of the waves!

Lovely rollercoaster feelings expressed here, Christine, creating both heavy emotional swell and calm seas within. I like the security and anchoring in that final HIM, though! Then is the boat safe and in still waters, irrespective of the winds and the ensuing waves. Unique perspective, too. TY Kate xx

Christine,

A beautiful and most interesting voyage. I love the poem and the metaphors. At times the ocean may be rough but it's the calm and gentleness after the storm that makes it all worthwhile. Peace, Love and Blessings be Yours Always, paul.
