Arms laced in black,
in solitude she played,
breath escaped in frigid air,
wishing it was her pain,
music wept white flakes,
that showered her in darkness,
to cleanse and sooth her soul,
where shadows cast her love,
though, it was not enough,
she froze on that winter night,
while playing their song

What a tenderly rendered tragedy. I was caught up in the contradictions inherent in your imagery. Nice pacing and rhythm in your writing that adds to the colorful depiction of the scene.
Dear Christine, I feel sorry for the lovely lady. I love the violin. She would have been much appreciated in our warm house. Nice picture and nice description. Love Emile
Christine you have captured the melancholy theme of a dying love on a black and white canvas of clefs my dear friend. Beautifully executed. Love and peace to you. Jon Michael
AND WE ALL HAVE KNOWN SUCH A TIME...A NIGHT...AT SOME TIME IN OUR LIVES...JUST NEVER KNEW WHAT TO CALL IT...'TIL NOW. THIS IS A KEEPER THAT IS DONE SO VERY WELL. THANKS FOR SHARING, LOVE, BLESSINGS & FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS
How well you write the words in blacks and whites of this canvas of emotion, this music-score of wounded love. Melancholic notes that melt the snows and freeze the eternal flame, sealing its fire in forever. So evocative and deeply etched, Christine. Marvellous pain-ting! xx
Such a lovely ode to the coming season and all it conjures up via your verses, Christine. Thank you for sharing this gift. Love and best wishes to you,

New style for you, my friend, and I love the somber, tragic tale. Ten to one you saw the picture first and worked out this outstanding poem to go with it. I do that from time to time also. Impressive.
I feel this one more than I would like Chrissie for it is a song of the heart and a heart song is real...especially when washed in teardrops...

Too sad a story, but your picture and words definitely brought it to life. Fine work, Christine, even though you made me feel depressed.
Oh, my, I want to cry.
