Searching

Lips brushed against breath of night,
cologne lingered, in search of him,
senses blinded in darkest hour,
man in the moon, gave not a clue

Instincts fed her craving heart,
that led her to horizon’s line,
she pulled strong to get her there,
found note in corked bottle of wine

Gripping was the message written,
my ship was swallowed at sea,
eh, not before a prayer was said,
our love will sustain, under lock and key

With waves, she crashed to her knees,
face buried deep in trembling hands,
miraculously, his spirit lifted her,
carried her gently…to the lands

THIS is just marvelous, Christine. Nothing much else to say. Such longing as she moved to the sea. Such wonderment when she spied the note in the bottle. Such anguish as she read the note. Such relief as she was lifted and saved to live another day. Excellent!!
