Sometimes colors
Cloud opinion-
Sways the heart,
Blurs the vision.
White on top,
Black below,
Yellow, brown-
These have to go.
But with one color

Red, Yellow, Black, White, which is perfect in Gods sight?
A red-blooded attempt to bring relief to all those whose color isn't 'right.' Why can't they see that in love, it is beauty, not color, that prevails? And we all know that our beauty comes from within.

Repaying the RR you gave me. Great poem, I like religious poetry. I try to tell both sides of it when I can, also I am obsessed with making Jesus appear very human.. So I have some weird Jesus poems. I have a few hundred pro-religious poems. Its a great topic. I have one called the Children that I bet you would love?
Any who, We are all as on in the eyes of God. Plus I think it will be funny if we get to Heaven and God is a Spanish dude or a brother.
This is a parable of how different we all are in terms of culture and breeding yet the same because we're all part of the human race. God sees every person as a unique being, no matter where we are from or how we were raised. The love of God is unconditional and universal. Good piece Cynthia. Thank you for sharing it with us.

No one is color-blind, and God is not color-blind. Colors are needful parts of the tapestry woven by God, all worthy children of His family. Bigotry is self-destructive because the design is more important than any individual color. You capture the essense of this in your poem. Well done, Poet :-)
This little gem is like a wise proverb, skillfully written. It is so true; would that we were all color-blind.
The verse at the end is the perfect accompaniment.

loved the speech by Shylock (defending his Jewishness), in which he said: "If you prick us, do we not bleed?" You're right, of course, we all bleed red. -gene.
Hi Cynthia this is a nice poem and I agree with the statement at the end.Everybody is like a piece of fruit.We have different skin,but underneath it is delicious.Its not the cover of the book,but its what inside of the book that counts :-).I love this poem.take care of yourself
