So many times I’ve tried to build a bridge to you. But you have always knocked me off or tore it down, and I’ve never gotten through to you. All this time, since the last time, I’ve been working steady, building a bridge, getting things right, ready. Made to last, this one doesn’t begin with our past. I built it in the sky. Every night I cry, touch a miracle materialized as piece by piece I’ve given of honest heart, received sure hand of hope, radiant ring of faith.

A heart wrenching poem. The words are very well executed. They reach out and grab the reader. There is a sign of hope here that is good to see. Great work, Dawn.
