I push
and push
into the silence
that stretches forever
and hope crowns… fullness
is born from surrender of self
and falls soft as snowy grace
on these once-barren fields.

Cries come
to fill with life
the empty left inside
and I hear the future footsteps
of these red-faced ideas kicking
and screaming until they collapse
in sweet peace, safe, swaddled
and sung back to sleep.

Alive
and growing
within my care,
spirited thought draws
energy, dancing through days
until sunset comes and night
accepts everything that buds,
blossoms and breaks loose.

It is that occasional episode of breaking-loose that renders the path to culmination tolerable... Beautifully expressed wisdom, Dawn; ditto Eileen!

:) How softly sweet are your words, and quickening thoughts, Dawn! Every verse starts with ambivalence of self, and self, and ends with the honey of thought and pollination of what is seen once as obstuseness, budded into eternity, because It can...

As always, Dawn,

I remain yours,

Dawn,

Yes. Yes. And when they blossom into poetry, a miracle occurs. This, my dear, is beautifully inspiring! Thank you for your words this evening.

My favorite stanza:

"Alive
and growing
within my care,
spirited thought draws
energy, dancing through days
until sunset comes and night
accepts everything that buds,
blossoms and breaks loose."

BRAVA!!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. *applause*
