Poem Artwork

Sometimes when the two join and
become one,
their collusion conspires
to undo them,
the sands of the hourglass
slip through them
and are lost
to the wind.

On the wind
their dreams cast,
fortune flies.
Grasping for love in the air,
they take their leave
empty-handed, watching one
become two,
hearts halved, heaving hope and hurt.

Hearts halved and heaving? Aptly captured, Dawnn. Love is always laced with ups and downs. But patience has been the silent power that upgrades and sustains. I like this one. very powerful.
