I entered into the tumble of words you had released upon the page with reverence and respect, aware of the sacred opportunity to touch the truth of your soul and allow myself to be transformed by grace.
I waded in the waters you had known, then swam furiously for my life, holy remembrance and embrace of white dove fluttering toward me then nestled to my chest, cooing peace at last to quiet my mind and soothe.
But what of her heart? What of my heart? These are the question that haunted throughout, until the echo of hope I have strained to hear boomed bold and beautiful on your page: “I’m glad I know now I’m worth more than that.”
peace,
carolyn
