While some busy themselves
stealing what was already stolen
through a pea and shell game
feeling puffed up, proud of deception,

Others opt to trust God
to sort out the dim-witted deceit
and use their own talents
to create and curate life well lived. 

Ineptitude aside, 
fake fiduciary falsity
is further breach of trust
and by the law that means most to me

Requires reckoning. 
While some scramble to clutch at assets
that are not theirs to have
or to hold, others invest wisely

In using power well.
Abiding by law of God and man
wisdom demonstrates faith;
she lives free, both prospers and succeeds.

So maybe don't bank on
infinite access to transferring
treasures taken. And see
true treasure stored up and multiplied,

More to be divided
and shared with those whose hearts, like mine, tire
of fickle fraudulence
and those who scurry, hide from what's true .
