I spoke to the Moon

there are times when insensitivity can bring about a need for illusive consultation.

Tonight...
I spoke to the Moon.
I told him that my heart was so full...
so full...
full...
full of loss...of words...
in amazement...
at the loss of respect...
I was seeing...
from others...for others...
in need of fullness.

Without thought of self only...
but of time...
time...
moments of importance to others.
In amazement...
I was lost...
at thoughts that ones own moments...
important...
should be overshadowed...
by lack of reverence...
for another's soul.

I spoke to the Moon...
about my search for light...
within...
ever-present...
perpetual...
ambient flame.

The Moon spoke to me.
"Do you not see my light this evening?"

I apologized...
shook his hand...
and saw the aura of myself...
in the full...
star cast...
fated skies of night.

The inner shine is always more apparent by the moon. There's something about gravity and a true heart.
Your words speak volumes.

Strange. I've never thought of the moon as a "he." Still. I think talking with the moon can be very therapeutic. Thank you, John. Love and peace to you,

Regis

At full moon something stirs inside me and I must suppress houling at it, like if I do, she will understand my secrets, and that I don't want anybody to know, even Goddess Selene.
Well done.

I find speaking to the moon is a marvelous thing to do. And when my dogs are with me, I sometimes howl at it, too.

To be in touch with our inner being, our feelings allows us to produce work like this! Amazing! Blessings, Holly

Hi John,
This poem had an unexpected ending! I enjoyed it very much! This is the part I loved the most: moments of importance to others. In amazement…I was lost…at thoughts that ones own moments…important…
should be overshadowed...by lack of reverence…for another’s soul. It reminds me of when I lost my Mom and people would say, Oh, I'm so sorry but then quickly dive into a story about a cool place they visited, how much fun they had...and they were clueless that I myself felt like I was dying inside. Great poem!
Your friend,
Nancy
