winery of my soul

vintage thoughts and harvest hopes...

My angel and I...
share a toast...
the sweetest Bordeaux...
within the winery of my soul...
in the warmth of the afternoon.

And yet the tannic fermentation of my thoughts...
find the process of beauty...
in the subdued North-West winds...
and the company of my guardian.

Sharing light of the harvest...
inside distilled moments of time...
diffused with the ripeness of age...
I long to walk in the vineyard of the angels...
surrounded by wings...
of those gone before I.

It is this transition...
where I will come to know the light...
and change of being...
seated among the tasting tables...
of my winged companions...
far from the unripe...
bitter-sweet bottle of life.

Such a wish gives us the hope of the family we will be with one day. I like the "toast" of the desire and the dream. Well done and thank you.
Best regards,
Chris

Such a lovely portrait of life and death, accompanied by an excellent bottle of wine. Sounds like my idea of heaven.

Blessings,
Kathy

The way you bring me down , adrift in gossamer...it's...as gentle as any words I've read.
