no request is too extreme...

animate dreams
stand
in a foyer
on a flying carpet
to be seated.

curtains drawn
a straight and narrow path
are screened
as one of blue magic
gives conscious power
to one
in top hat and spats.

blushing color
finds temptations counsel
in one appointed
to strings
toying with dishonesty
wood
become real.

gamp landings
make sense common
ignorance found
soon of lateness earns
humanity and happiness
a boy within
a toymakers heart and a song.

within this wish
a small cricket is heard
from a childhood past
and a fallen star is answered
in everything
i have become.

I once had a 1980's poetry book all photo-typed up to publish called: "Childhood to Childhood" it was the circular nature of life and dreams from childhood through a sort of diffuse destruction and then reclaimed through "art, mind, music and spirit"! This reminds me of those poems I never published except this is more concise and thoughtfully done, not as naive as my work.
Um perhaps it is worth considering the truth of your last very great "stanza" OR: (I'm cleaning out the garage) I may findthem and chuck them! What do you think? PS: that last stanza is the kind I'dliketo quote on postcards to friends - should be a header in a magazine article or novel!

To dream, to fantasize, to recall yesterdays. To pay homage to diversity and foster imagination. To create and bask in the glory of the conceptual moment. These things we savor always. Provocative piece. Jon Michael Willey

In the life of a child, crickets and flying carpets, falling stars...these are all the magic and awe of the kid inside. The man who can capture this throughout his life, is one I want to meet for this man LIVES!

Love and blessings!
