Awe, this is just too cute CJ...you have a wonderful way of capturing the voice of the child within the lines of your poetry...reminds me of when my mom bought my children each a small goldfish for their Easter gift, of course they wanted a bunny, duck, or chick..but they were pleased with their goldfish for a few weeks anyway...then they became my responsibility....kept one of them we named Odie for five years! Your children's poetry always brings a smile to my face...enjoyed this much. Always a pleasure to stop by your den.
