An Ode to Candace

Sometimes life might not give.
You might have to strive much harder to live.
But I am here to help, just follow these rules.
They are stepping-stones, and very good tools.
You must be as swift as the coursing river.
With all the force of a great typhoon.
With all the strength of a raging fire.
Mysterious as the dark side of the moon.
Candace you'll live long.
You'll sing a beautiful song.
It will make you much stronger, even hold you up high.
I know you can do it, if you just try.
You will fight hard, you are the best.
You will be stronger, stronger than the rest.
Tears might roll silently down your cheek.
You might feel brittle, brittle and weak.
But you'll know down inside that you were never meek.
I respect and feel for you, you have a good heart.
And since you know how to use it, you truly are smart.
Live, Candace, Live.
