With this poem I got an award in Frascati, Italy (jumellated with my hometown Kortrijk, Belgium). Dutch and Italian version.

TESTBEELD EUROPA (625 AAILIJNEN) JORIS DENOO

(1° PREMIO EUROPEO CITTÀ GEMELLATA ‘ANTONIO SECCARECCIA’ FRASCATI, PROVINCIA DI ROMA, 1999)

Hier, een wolkje melk, mijn muisgrijs huisdier.
Onze tuin is die van heden
en van Voltaire. Regen biggelt
van het keukenraam. Het testbeeld
van de kijkkast vertoont oorlogskleuren.

Hoe zie jij Brussel? Sarajevo?

Pantani laat het even afweten

Europa wacht,
in de achtertuin is het weer rustig.

Wat kies je: microgolf of vriesvak?
De kijkkast of de koelkast?

Hier, een brokje lever, Minoe.
Ik neem een kijkje in de tuin.
Let jij wat op het huis? De buis?

MONOSCOPIO EUROPA (625 LINEE ONDULATE) JORIS DENOO (TRAD. FRANCO PARIS)

Come vedi Bruxelles? Sarajevo?
Mai sentito parlare di movimenti di truppa?

Non guardare cosi maestosamente il refrigeratore,
tu con le tue nove vite:
i calendari del cancro vanno in stampa,
Pantani per ora rinuncia
e sulla Piazza della Pace Celeste
vi sono cacche di cane pechinesi.
Vi è ancora speranza per noi, mio piccolo predatore?

all’instante in tivvù – World Press Pronta da Mangiare.
Ora lo sbarramento in formatio soggiorno.
Si tratta di una scuola. L’Europa aspetta,

Do un’occhiata in giardino.
Alla casa ci pensi tu? Alla tivvù?

Kind A SLOw In The Kootenays v2.2 by RickthePoetWarrior

Has-beens and coffee get together to recreate a same old new tourist trap in a land even the First Nations don't want.
