A girl at church camp prays after evening worship and finds help from God.
Evening worship was over one more night at camp.
Youth could stick around the altar so they could pray.
Some prayers were emotional and some eyes were damp.
They prayed alone but if they needed me, I’d stay.
A girl knelt in silence and prayed for quite a while.
When she was through she rose and slowly walked away.
Soon she returned and knelt without even a smile.
I knelt down beside her to be there and to pray.
She started telling me all the things on her heart.
Each problem she shared with me nearly blew my mind.
Every thing that she mentioned tore my heart apart.
All I knew to do was to listen and be kind.
I tried to find an answer – something smart to say,
but her many problems just paralyzed my brain.
She stood up – thanked me – and so quickly walked away.
I was so blessed to see God answer prayer again.
Oh what a lesson was given me on that night.
When we believe we have all the answers we need
to solve all the problems other folks have to fight
we should just listen and then let God take the lead.

The "old camp ground meetings" come back to mine. Nightly services designed to knead the wanting spirit into recongnition and acceptance of God. Well written Larry.
