Woman with long illness touched Jesus and he felt his power leave. Is there healing from touch today?
“Who touched me?”
He asked that big crowd.
“Is it I?” the disciples asked in unison.
“Save that line for the Last Supper,” Jesus replied.
“Of course you were touched
It’s a very big crowd.”
“If I did it, I didn’t mean to. I’m sorry!”
“I know I was touched because I felt my power being drained!”
It became very quiet as nobody spoke.
They looked in each other’s face.
She stumbled toward him
So feeble, so weak
And yet she seemed to glow like the sun.
She fell at his feet prepared for a scolding.
She said “I’m sorry, sweet Lord.”
She told of twelve years of suffering so much
And she felt that she’d get well with a small touch.
A small touch!
I wonder as I sit here today
How many times has that touch of the Lord
Been received in our very day.
Although he is not here in his body to serve
Could it be that the touch spreads today
When someone who loves and follows the Lord
Brings a caring touch to one in need?
Take time to thank God before you go on
For the people from your past
Who have touched your life and brought a good change.
Then, with the faith of that frail little woman
Ask Jesus to help your faith grow
So you, too, can be one who touches a very needy soul.
Who touched you?
Whose life will Jesus touch through you?
You may be surprised.
Larry,
Your poetry and insight have truly been touched by our Lord.
Many miracles occur daily - things as little as just getting the green light on the road when we're running late. Getting the job you want. Awesome reviews at AD, and the list goes on. We but have to look with a God-centered eye.
Blessings,
Kathy

Larry,
Wonderfully written. I loved the verse, "Save that line...". Touch and be touched. We can all surley learn from this woman's courage and faith. Thanks for your ministry.
Best regards,
Chris
Larry, I do believe that the Lord works in many mysterious ways...ways that we will never know until we gather with Him. God uses people and inventions to heal the sick and I also believe He uses man to help the poor. I've been touched many times with miracles from the hands of those God used. This is a marvelous inspirational piece...thanks ever so much for sharing.
Does He heal today? I think so. May not be the miraculous, sudden, leap to feet type, but He uses doctors and medicine, as well. My daddy and twin sis come to mind: He healed them. :) Thank God.
Larry very touching words you share with us today, I believe we all work here on earth to serve Jesus. It is our place to love one another, to help where we can, to be the best that we can.
My mom taught us to never turn our back on someone in need because it could be Jesus as He walks amonst us. So yes I feel we are touched everyday, through every kind word, every smile we share.
Thank you Larry.
