I'll be gone for the weekend so I'll miss everyone. But I'll have a great time seeing some of the stars of my St. Louis Cardinals baseball team.
The cold and snow has come today And I can’t make it go away So I am going to change the scene And look for something in between. My beloved Cardinals baseball team Will try to help me have a dream To their “winter warm-up” I will go And get away from this cold snow I’ll see the players new and old And get autographs if I’m so bold I’ll stand around and dream all day About the season when they’ll play So I’ll not be here to read your verse As I spend my weekend in reverse On Monday morning I’ll check in And read your poems once again.

Hey!!! here's a fast curb-ball of a review, your poem smells like a hot-dog with everything (heavy on the onions!!!) and we even can hear the warming up whack sending the ball out of the park.

Have fun, but I am not a huge baseball fan. Now FOOTBALL, on the other hand....too bad my beloved Cowboys fizzled out on the game that really counted; made me MAD! Oh, well, there's always next year! *grins*
