At the convention, I watched at the dismissal of a session as a crowd emerged and all began using their cell phones. This poem materialized from that moment.
Thousands exit the convention hall grabbing cell phones at the same time. How do all these signals go out? There seems to be no reason or rhyme. It’s more than my small mind can grasp. I can’t figure it out at all how everyone dials their number and each phone completes its call. This must be much like prayer, I guess. It always seems to me very odd how millions are making requests and each message is heard by God.

If I had my way, we'd ban cell phones in any public place, including the grocers, the movie theatre, and, of course, in church. It drives me insane when I think someone's talking to me, and I then see that damned ear piece in their ear!

Dear Larry, I really think that five hundred years ago they would have burned at the stake for sorcery the ones holding a cell phone.
I have seen those heretics phoning in a Super-marked, cinema, buses, cars and believe it or not, in church! ! !
I have a phone to ring 911 if my attacker give me time to, if not I will smash it on the top of his head praying he has Medicare.
You are not alone, my friend, because they are multiplying like rabbits.
