Our youth are so important and sometimes we sell them short by limiting them to just learning to quote scripture when we could lead them to apply it.
A youth group had its weekly meeting to learn scripture and do some eating. They did some bible competition to keep in spiritual condition. There were long trips they had to take so they sold food they had to bake. They were proud of scripture they could quote and it made their big egos float. Another youth group met every week with actions that seemed to be so meek. They too had sales at the church front door to raise funds so they could help the poor. They fixed houses and applied some paint and worked so hard they would nearly faint. The scriptures they were slow to find but they tried to help the sick and blind. Although the scripture is good to know it needs action if it is to grow and those who can’t quote chapter and verse can take God’s love to lives that are worse.

As I observe "the youth of today," I see so much good in them. Passing our world/earth on to the next generations is a good thing. They are not "takers" or ultra-consumers as my generation has been. Good poetry Larry.

We read until nauseatum about the bad boys and girls cos they are "news" and they scandals sell papers.
It is refreshing to read that out there also are the good girls and good boys that nobody heard about because they aren't "news"?

Wonderful larry. Fred and I ran a youth group a few years back in one of our postings. The Kids loved taking their favorite songs of the radio and changing the words to always mean good and sharing it with so many. We thought it was great.
