Friends, indeed
Are what each of us need
To stand by our side
When all we want is to run and hide
Their strength
Supports our life’s difficulties
They’re often on the same wavelength
Helping to soothe our worries
A friend never asks, “Why”
Just says, “When and where. I’ll be right there”
It seems they are always on standby
Their love, they willingly share
Their silliness keeps us from being grumpy
They brighten our days
Always seeing through our haze
Reinvigorating our energy
Become such a friend
Reciprocate
Become someone’s treasured soul mate
Then, they will never ever be in need
And, someone will say
YOU are a friend. Indeed!
