Poem Artwork

somewhere along the path
compassion infiltrates the heart
and connection takes over
realization becomes a way of life

and step by step I seemed
to be retreating away from
the world I once embraced

in every gaze I see another layer
the deeper levels of our creations
knowing my desk was once a tree
and within my shirt are visions of slavery

deeper I inhaled air
knowing the miracle
of life
deeper I retreated
knowing salvations
strife

confronting images
of the insane conscious
desperately clinging
in repression
until the darkness
overwhelms its
superiority

a pulse arrives
a shining sun
an ache and tingle
shattering conceptions
I’m thinking less
and feeling more
imagining the world
beyond

a way
of brightening paths
and belief in wonder fills
putting puzzles pieces into place
and alleviating the ills

we are spirit
bodies of the light
mingling with the dreamers
and conspiring of new thoughts

To look into ones inner self and see whats with in is really hard to do. Exploring new consepts and visions can take one to new heights. The poem is very deep and inciteful....M

Nicely penned....your expression give us that view into the depth of thoughts, where one can find a multitude of imagery. All we need is to stop and grasp the essence of life, to really feel and sense the soul, the mind, and the spirit of our own creativity. Life is but the moments we take to explore her.

Nice...

"thinking less and feeling more" certainly seems the way to go, Debby. Back to basics and to the elemental of who we are should set our sights a bit straighter and curb our out-of-control maniac thinking that has for too long exalted the intellect over intuition, placed mind over matter. Like Felix, I like your different styling here: suits the premise well. xx

Despite appearances WE are spiritually evolving upward; this poem is like a candle showing the way - in fact it looks like a candle stand in form - perhaps intentional. Kimmy is one heck of an artist. A shame we can't size pictures as we please here... I'll check out her photo blog.
Nice to see people working together on AD

Wow...you certainly diverged from the usual with this super reflective write that makes us all stop and think about our own life spiritual journeys. You didn't just write outside the box you broke the box down and put it out for recycling...well done Deb

Debby, on so many levels this is a great piece of writing. I like this verse particularly well:
"a pulse arrives
a shining sun
an ache and tingle
shattering conceptions
I’m thinking less
and feeling more
imagining the world
beyond"

Cheers and peace,
Dan

Yes, Kimmy IS from another planet, if not she couldn't possible tell us so many marvelous things, that like this poem get the spirit tickled with whispering poetic words.

You and I must of been on the same plane this past week, I drew this picture and named it "Elementally Wise" and, after reading your poem, I don't know if I could write anyone better to depict my art. Check it out, you name the heart, the air, the puzzle pieces, I was moved by your work! You are more than welcomed to post it with your poem, if you want...
I will save your poem with this drawing, always...Thank you for sharing this fine and moving pen..."elemental"

Love and Peace~
